Frances (Francie) E. Trainor, E-RYT 200, teaches Vinyasa Flow Yoga, strongly influenced by teachers Rob Hess and Shiva Rea. She has a twenty-two year professional background in Middle-Eastern Dance, has lived in five states, as well as in Ireland and Germany, and loves traveling and exploring diverse cultures. She has a background in German: Literature, Philosophy and Language, and in Fine Art: Painting and Drawing. Her dog and Mother Nature are her ultimate gurus.
Francie seeks to promote a deep sense of well-being, patience and confidence in her students, encouraging growth, unabashed creativity and joyful self-acceptance.
She teaches Belly-Dance, improvisational dance, meditative journeying and meditative art, and paints in oils, acrylics, pastels and works in mixed media.
Francie's Philosophy on Yoga and Dance, in a nutshell:
"Sensibility and experience as a dancer have taught me a deep understanding of movement and energy. A dancer must draw from much more than physical skill. A dancer must move from the heart, the soul, the mind, all together. This understanding gives nuance and grace to the simplest gesture, a mere turn of the head. Physical skill, or athleticism, gives the ability to move powerfully with patient precision. Dance is an exploration of the nuances of being and living, of the conscious and sub-conscious motivations of humanity, of being alive, through conscious, fine-tuned movement. It is a refinement of instinct and action. It is the body's poetry and prose, it's voice.
The physical practice of yoga is really very much the same. It taps the same well of intellectual and emotional motivation and instinct, becoming deliberate movement and postures, which can free individuals from the torrent of mental restrictions, fears, and abuses we all experience, at the hands of society and each other. Yoga and dance free us from physical inertia, and can free us from mental and emotional inertia, establishing fresh perspective and balance, thereby allowing inspiration to arise and creativity to blossom." 💗Francie
